Body Combat Calories estimates energy expenditure in a Body Combat / cardio kickboxing class using an ACSM-style MET cardio formula. It supports body weight units, duration units, intensity presets, and a custom MET option.

How it works

  • Energy rate: kcal/min ≈ MET × 3.5 × weight(kg) / 200 (ACSM-style).
  • Total calories: kcal ≈ (MET × 3.5 × weight(kg) / 200) × minutes.
  • Intensity presets (approximate): Light ≈ 5 MET; Typical class (moderate) ≈ 7 MET; Hard / advanced (vigorous) ≈ 10 MET.
  • Custom MET: Choose Custom (MET) and enter your own MET value if you have a specific estimate.
  • Back-solving time: If you enter calories with weight and intensity set, and leave duration blank, the calculator can back-solve how many minutes of Body Combat would produce that energy cost.

Notes

  • MET values are approximate and vary by choreography, instructor style, fitness level, and how hard you personally push.
  • Results are rounded to 2 decimals and are intended for general fitness guidance only (not medical use).

Example

Body weight 70 kg, Duration 60 min, Intensity Typical class (7 MET):
kcal/min ≈ 7 × 3.5 × 70 / 200 ≈ 8.58
Total ≈ 8.58 × 60 ≈ 514.5 kcal

  • Industry-Standard Formulas: The formulas and methods used in this calculator follow widely accepted standards in Sports.
  • Careful Verification: The calculator is tested to ensure it behaves correctly across a range of inputs.
  • Continuous Updates: The calculator is updated as needed to reflect better accuracy and usability.

Welcome to the Calculator Value. Have you ever wondered, after finishing a Body Combat session, breathing heavily and dripping sweat, and you thought, ‘How many calories did I burn during Body Combat?’ then you are not alone.

Body Combat is considered one of the highest-calorie-burning workouts. You’re constantly kicking, punching, bouncing, and squatting, which requires a lot of energy and burns a large amount of calories.

That's where our Body Combat Calories Burned Calculator comes in and allows you to estimate the calories burn based on real world factors.

Keep reading to learn more about body combat calories burned.

What Are Body Combat Calories Burned?

Simply, it means the number of calories your body burns during a Body Combat session. Body Combat is a high-energy workout that requires cardio, strength, and full-body movement. The calories you burn basically depend on factors such as:

  • Your body weight
  • How long your Body Combat session lasts
  • Body Combat intensity level

Commonly, a single Body Combat session burns around 400–700+ calories, depending on the session duration and intensity.

How Body Combat Calories Burned Is Calculated

You might be curious and scratching your head, wondering how Body Combat calories are calculated. Don’t worry — we’ll explain it step by step in the easiest way so you can clearly understand.

We are using a standard science-backed metabolic value which is known as MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task). And remember that each activity contains a different MET value, such as light effort has a lower MET value, and higher effort has a larger one.

Here are the MET values we use in the calculator, these values are preset, but you can also enter a custom MET if needed.

  • Light effort → 5 MET
  • Moderate (typical class) → 7 MET
  • Vigorous → 10 MET
  • Custom → any 1–20 MET you choose

The Calorie Formula (ACSM Standard)

Our calculator uses the following formula based on ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). If you don’t know, ACSM is one of the largest sports medicine and exercise science organizations.

Here's the calories burned per minute (cal/min) formula:

Calories per minute = MET × 3.5 × weight(kg) / 200

And then, to get total calories burned:

Total calories burned = calories per minute × total minutes

If you’re still confused or unsure, keep reading in the next section we will walk through a real-world scenarios that will be much easier to understand.

Body Combat Calorie Burn Examples

Imagine you have finished a 30-minute Body Combat session with a moderate intensity. Let's compute it step by step to estimate calories burned.

For instance, your body weight e.g 70 kg, body combat session lasted 30 minutes, and the intensity was moderate (7 MET).

Next, compute the calories formula to estimate the calories per minute (kcal/min).

  • Calories per minute = (7 × 3.5 × 70) / 200
  • Calories per minute = 8.575 kcal/min

Lastly, let's evaluate the total calories burned by multiplying the 8.575 kcal/min by the 30 minutes.

= 8.575 kcal/min × 30 minutes

Total calories = 257.25 calories

So a 70 kg person in a 30-minute Body Combat session can burn 257.25 calories.
