How Is Sweat Rate Calculated?

The logic behind sweat rate calculation is fairly simple. We will explain step by step how to estimate sweat rate using a simple equation.

Here's the formula for sweat rate:

Sweat Rate (L/h) = (Pre-weight − Post-weight + Fluid Intake − Urine Output) ÷ Duration (hours)

Where:

Let's consider the following example for sweat rate calculation:
